The 2012 vintage in Southern Oregon was a refreshing change from the previous two, cool, late vintages. We began harvesting a full three weeks earlier than 2011, and was off to a quick start as warm weather in September rapidly ripened the fruit and continued well into October. This warmer, riper vintage translates to a wine that is a bit more full-bodied, broader in texture and richer in flavor that in cooler vintages.
