2012 was a picture perfect vintage with early bud break and a warm yet not overly hot growing season. Harvest began in early August and stretched into the cool days of Fall. The grapes for FLASQ Chardonnay were grown on the cool slopes and alluvial soils of California's Central Valley. Night-harvested grapes were gently de-stemmed and pressed, then fermented in stainless steel tanks. Malolactic was studiously avoided. Six to twelve months in stainless steel helped preserve the fine fruit aromas of this classic California Chardonnay.
